POSITION SUMMARY
The Apothecary Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in preparing prescription medications through front end and back end operational support ranging from data entry, filing, processing, billing and shipping of medications. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members are required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience N/A Required Registration/License/Certification Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration. If licensed after January 1, 2020 must obtain Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or complete an ALBOP approved technician training program within 6 months of licensure. Preferred Education N/A Preferred Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician Previous experience with ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System or ScriptPro Robotics Systems Preferred Registration/License/Certification National Certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by specific state regulations (e.g. PTCB, ExCPT, etc.). Valid Driver's License Other Requirements N/A
