Position Summary The role of the Certified Pharmacy Technician reports to the Director of Pharmacy. This position, under close supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists the pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records as assigned within their scope of practice. Essential Position Responsibilities Manages inventory of automated dispensing cabinets Deliver medications to nursing stations and other patient care areas Refill and manage inventory of emergency kits Repack medications for hospital use Perform medication histories Complete required documentation to meet state and federal laws
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED, required.
Licensure and Certifications:
Registration with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, and National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), required.
Experience:
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred.
Work Environment :
This position will spend 80% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment and 20% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
