Summary of Job Duties:
The Pharmacy Technician IV works under the supervision of the pharmacist and assists with the preparation, delivery, and shipping of medication. Performs tasks within regulations set forth by state, federal, and accreditation bodies. The technician will provide excellent pharmacy services.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
HS/GED plus 4 yrs Pharmacy Tech Experience or Bachelors Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences; Arkansas Pharmacy Technician Licensure PTCB National Certification 1 year to obtain ASHP/ACPE-accredited technician training, or certificate program (such as PTCB Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician, ASHP Sterile Compounding Certificate, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree 2+ years of UAMS pharmacy experience

Responsibilities:
Prioritizes order of filling (waiting, pick up, same day shipment, next day shipment) to meet patient needs and ensure patient satisfaction. Labels all prescription bottles accurately and with pharmaceutical elegance and applies all appropriate auxiliary labels. Ensures appropriate paperwork is included with each prescription fill.
