Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity for a licensed pharmacy technician to work the night shift at a healthcare facility with 173 licensed beds and an average daily census of 140 patients. The role is a travel assignment based in Gardena, CA, requiring flexibility to work 5 consecutive nights followed by 5 days off. The shifts run from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 10 hours per shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare intravenous (IV) medications, including IV piggybacks (IVPB) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) Fill and manage automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) Respond to telephone inquiries promptly and professionally Deliver medications directly to nursing units Utilize order entry systems, specifically Allscripts/Paragon, for medication processing

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid pharmacy technician license Proven inpatient pharmacy experience Proficiency in preparing IVs and filling Pyxis systems Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon or similar order entry software

Schedule:
