Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Travel A highly respected children's hospital in Northern California is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support their inpatient pharmacy team. This travel opportunity offers a chance to contribute to the care of pediatric patients in a well-established 300-bed hospital known for exceptional healthcare standards and the use of EPIC software.
Location:
Fremont, CA (with opportunities in the Palo Alto area)
Schedule:
Variable days and afternoons, 8-hour shifts
Assignment Type:
Travel position, with potential for temp-to-hire
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medications accurately for inpatient pediatric patients Collaborate with pharmacists and medical staff to ensure safe and timely medication distribution Utilize EPIC pharmacy software for order verification, medication tracking, and documentation Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements Support clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and medication safety
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certified Pharmacy Technician with hospital inpatient experience Familiarity with pediatric pharmacy practices highly valued Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail PGY1 residency training background or similar experience preferred, reflecting a commitment to high performance as typically sought by top-tier health systems This role is an excellent gateway to working within one of Northern California's top healthcare facilities, specifically a renowned children's hospital dedicated to innovative and compassionate pediatric care.
