Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Join a leading children's hospital as a Pharmacy Technician in a dynamic healthcare environment serving young patients. This contract position offers an exciting chance to work within a top-rated Northern California health system, supporting pharmacy operations at a 300-bed pediatric facility.
Location:
Palo Alto, CA Schedule:
Immediate start Approximately 6-month contract
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense medications following hospital protocols Operate pharmacy software systems, including EPIC, to manage medication orders and inventory Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards in a pediatric setting
Desired Experience:
Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a hospital or pediatric environment Proficiency with EPIC pharmacy modules or similar electronic health record systems Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Excellent communication skills for interaction with healthcare professionals and patients This role provides valuable hands-on experience in a specialized pediatric setting, perfect for those looking to enhance their technical pharmacy skills and professional growth.
