Lodi, CA Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Responsibilities Assist the pharmacist with dispensing and labeling of outpatient medications, ensuring accuracy of prescription details and patient identifiers. Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, verify data, and prepare medications for patient pickup or delivery. Process insurance claims and manage basic payer issues under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain inventory accuracy, stock levels, and proper storage, including expiration date monitoring and appropriate rotation. Support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced outpatient environment, including patient communication and coordination with care teams; escalate complex questions to the pharmacist. Adhere to state statutes, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies to protect patient safety and confidentiality. Requirements Active California Pharmacy Technician license required; Oregon licensure also accepted per job notes.
Certification:
Pharmacy Technician Board certification preferred.
Experience:
Outpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal pharmacy technician education preferred. Ability to work in a hospital outpatient setting with a focus on accuracy and patient privacy. Availability to work within the shift window (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.) on a rotating 3x12-hour schedule.
