Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing IV infusions
  • Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions and medication orders
  • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
  • Perform medication reconciliation and review for accuracy
  • Provide excellent patient service and answer any medication-related questions
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain aseptic technique when handling medications
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medication names, dosages, and uses
  • Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals
Skills:
  • Pharmacy technician certification
  • Knowledge of IV infusion procedures
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Experience in critical care or acute care settings
  • Proficiency in medication administration
  • Understanding of hospital pharmacy operations
  • Strong patient service skills
