LTC Mail Order Pharmacy Tech | Union City, California RPh on the Go - 4.1 Union City, CA Job Details Contract $20 - $25 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Pharmacy Technician License Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This pharmacy technician opportunity operates within a Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order environment, offering shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Candidates should expect a flexible schedule with up to seven days per week based on business needs. This contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacy technician ready to work closely under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare IVs under Pharmacist supervision. Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and assist with reimbursement processing. Prepackage medications following strict government regulations and pharmacy standards. Support the Pharmacist by assisting in the final checking and packaging of filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy. Help maintain inventory by receiving, rotating, and documenting medications, including tracking lot numbers and expiration dates. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by monitoring equipment calibration and cleanliness under the guidance of the Technician Supervisor.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of one year pharmacy technician experience required. Long Term Care pharmacy experience is highly advantageous. Must hold a valid California Pharmacy Technician License. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to follow procedures accurately within a regulated environment.
