Responsibilities:
Type new prescriptions into the computer Receive and process prescription refills Call insurances help desks when assistance is needed Answer the phone Operate the POS system Put orders away Place orders through different wholesalers Keep the pharmacy clean and organized Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions Help streamline immunizations by preparing forms and processing vaccines though insurance Help package medications in blister packs Package and prepare prescriptions for delivery
Experience:
Pay rate is dependent on experience and skill set starting at $22.50 per hour Candidates with compounding experience will get priority and a higher pay rate Two years of retail pharmacy experience (preferred) 90 day probation period applies to all new hires
Skills:
Excellent customer service Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel Fast typing Effective communication skills Knowledge of different insurance plans
Self-motivated:
uses free time to complete small projects around the pharmacy Great organizational skill and attention to details
Education:
High School Diploma Current pharmacy technician license in good standing
