The pharmacy at Montrose Regional Health is a health care service, which comprises the art, practice, and profession of choosing, preparing, storing, compounding, and dispensing medicines and medical devices, advising patients, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals on their safe, effective and efficient use.About The Career:
The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical services to inpatients, outpatients, and various hospital departments. This position is also involved in pharmacy data processing, inventory control, and other duties within the department.All About You :
Education:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. The Technician must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Pharmacy technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, or equivalent, is required within one year of employment if not received by date of hire. Competency in sterile product and chemotherapy preparation. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, hospital preferred but not required. Basic computer skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively work through problems.What We Offer:
