$20 / hour Summary This is a 16-week, full time training program. Students complete independent online learning each week, in addition to classroom and on-the-job training. Students who are accepted into the program are compensated for online learning, classroom and on-the-job training hours (up to 40 hours weekly). Candidates must be available to work 1st & 2nd shift and be open to at least 3 locations. Actively participates in the Lee Health or Cape Coral Pharmacy Technician Training Program, including didactic course attendance and designated pharmacy site externship. Trains in the preparation, dispensing, distribution of medications under the supervision of the Course Coordinator and the site preceptor. All education and training duties shall be performed in accordance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards and policies and procedures of the health system and the pharmacy department. This position is intended for individuals seeking State Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician.
Requirements Education:
Must possess, or be actively pursuing, a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 17 years of age.

Basic computer skills and date entry, solid foundation in mathematics and science; strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills are required. Must have the ability to walk a maximum of 8-10 miles per day.
