CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
(CPhT) - Bilingual English/Spanish Hollywood, Florida Water Lilly Pharmacy, in Hollywood Florida, is now hiring a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our specialty pharmacy team. Water Lilly is locally-owned and managed, offering both the friendly customer service of a community pharmacy and the capabilities of a national chain. The Pharmacy Technician will support our pharmacist in the processing, dispensing, and coordination of specialty medications for patients with complex and chronic health conditions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, position from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. No evenings or weekends. --- JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Fulfillment:
assist with packaging, labeling, and shipping of specialty medications in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Patient Interaction:
Greet in-person patients warmly upon arrival, handle inbound and outbound patient calls with professionalism and empathy, and respond to inquiries regarding prescription status.
Sales Processing:
Process sales of prescription medications and over-the-counter (OTC) products, handle cash and credit cards.
Record Keeping:
Update patient profiles in the computer system, scan documents, and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, stock shelves with OTC products, assist with inventory counts .
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, accreditation standards, and company policies.
Note:
most prior authorization work is handled by a specialize department and is not a significant work requirement of this position. -- REQUIREMENTS We regret that we can only respond to applications that show evidence of all of the following.
Prior Experience:
candidates must have a minimum of two (2) full years in prior authorization at a pharmacy, medical infusion center, or other medical office.
Associate's Degree:
candidates should have completed at least a two-year college degree. In the absence of a degree, an additional two years of experience may be substituted.
Certification:
a current CPhT certificate, valid in Florida, is required.
Bilingual:
candidates must be able to communicate fluently and with confidence in both English and Spanish.
Detail Orientation:
a near-compulsive focus on consistency and accuracy at even the most minute level is essential. --
