Pharmacy Technician Bilingual

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Non-sterile compounding
• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Ensure accuracy in medication labeling and packaging
• Maintain proper storage and security of medications
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications
• Process prescription requests and insurance claims
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
• Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
• Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Non-sterile compounding
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
• Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
• Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication administration and compounding techniques
• Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
• Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile compounding procedures
