In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. You will help ensure that all pharmacy operations run smoothly and efficiently, while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards. Your work will have a meaningful impact on the well-being of patients in long-term care. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding health products. Maintain accurate patient records and medication administration logs, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Perform inventory management tasks, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace to promote a safe environment for staff and patients. Stay updated on pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance. Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration practices is highly desirable. Experience in LTC is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care are essential for success in this role.
