Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract To Hire An established pharmacy facility in Lehigh Acres, FL is seeking an IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to support their infusion services. This role is a 13-week contract with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent position based on performance. Immediate availability is critical due to the client's extensive vendor network and slow update process—candidates locally available should act quickly.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30

Contract to Hire (13 weeks initial)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare IV medications within a sterile clean room environment under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Fill prescriptions and assist with compounding IV solutions following strict safety and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to accurately enter prescription data and assist in securing reimbursement payments. Prepackage medications for dispensing and aid Pharmacists in the final verification and packaging stages. Coordinate timely delivery of medications to customers ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist in inventory management including receiving shipments, rotating stock, and maintaining proper documentation of lot numbers and expiration dates. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with equipment calibration and cleanliness checks.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Florida Pharmacy Technician license required. IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician certification and experience highly preferred. National certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Proven ability to work efficiently in a sterile compounding environment under pharmacist supervision.
