Description:
The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsible for performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of medications. May include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, driving, refilling, etc. Responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of receipt from vendors to the shipment/delivery within prescribed service parameters. Responsible for maintaining medication stock levels and proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
Registered Pharmacy Technician. Florida Drivers License (Class E Non-Commercial).
Additional Qualifications:
Previous community pharmacy, warehouse experience or graduate of the BHSF Pharmacy Technician Program preferred. Material handling equipment certification preferred and required within 3 months for advanced warehouse support. PTCB or equivalent certification preferred and required within 6 months for advanced replenishment support. Effective verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus and positive attitude required. Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment. Must be detail oriented, quality focused, self-motivated and work in a team oriented environment. Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards. Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task.
Minimum Required Experience:
1 Year EOE, including disability/vets
