Job Description

Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Required License/Certification:
  • Active Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience
Spanish & English BilingualPharmacy Technician Overview:
  • The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by assisting with data entry, prior authorizations, and copay assistance
  • This role helps ensure patient adherence to therapy by contacting patients to confirm timely delivery of medications
  • Works alongside pharmacy staff to support efficient and accurate prescription processing
  • Involved in a growing segment of healthcare utilizing advanced technology and managing complex therapies
  • Assists in coordinating medication delivery to patients' homes and physicians' offices
Job Duties:
  • Complete order entry and prescription refills under pharmacist supervision
  • Assist with prior authorizations and copay assistance programs
  • Contact patients to confirm receipt of medications and support adherence to therapy
  • Perform inventory management and ensure proper storage of medications
  • Maintain documentation, including labels, log sheets, and reports
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth workflow
  • Participate in on-call rotation based on staffing and business needs.
