Job Description

Overview Tired of working long hours, weekends, evenings and holidays? We are looking for an experienced detail-oriented Certified or Registered Licensed Pharmacy Technician with retail experience to work our medication dispensary. In this role you will be the primary resource for our physicians and Nurse Practitioners to prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients of our Rheumatology Clinic. Past retail experience is a must, as is understanding of prescription insurance submission and trouble shooting procedures. Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing systems and excellent customer service skills are crucial as you help our patients navigate the complex process of specialty drug dispensing. You will also have the opportunity to learn other job functions with in the practice.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old. Certified Pharmacy Technician Licensed or registered in the state of Florida At least 2 years of experience in retail pharmacy, including: Use of computerized pharmacy dispensing system (we use Pioneer Software). Experience with insurance claims adjudication and third party submission requirements . Experience with phone and online claim dispute resolution with insurance company. Knowledge of appropriate state and federal laws and regulations regarding prescription dispensing, including HIPPA and FWA Criminal Background check required. Must be proficient in the English language-speaking and reading/writing. Verify prescription information and ensure compliance with medical and legal standards. Manage inventory levels, including restocking supplies and medication stock rotation to prevent shortages or expirations. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, clarifying medication instructions, and addressing concerns with professionalism. Knowledge of copay card rules, as well as the ability to explain and assist patients with signing up for them. Maintain detailed records of prescriptions processed, medication logs, and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory requirements. Keep a clean, organized workspace that adheres to safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate smooth prescription processing and resolve discrepancies. SKILLS Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
