Pharmacy Technician

Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently Manage medication intake and ensure proper documentation Support patient care by providing medication information and answering questions Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique for IV infusions and other parenteral therapies Maintain inventory levels, stock medications, and ensure proper storage conditions Follow all safety protocols related to medication handling and patient confidentiality Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and hospital policies Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and coordinating with healthcare providers Experience Prior pharmacy technician experience is required, preferably within LTC pharmacy or hospital environments Critical care experience is a strong plus, especially related to acute care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques is essential Experience with IV infusion preparation and sterile compounding is highly desirable Familiarity with hospital procedures, patient service protocols, and intake processes will be advantageous Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
