Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract To Hire An opportunity is available for an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation in an infusion center environment. This role involves working in a clean room setting where patients receive infusion treatments, offering the chance to apply specialized skills in a patient-focused pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and compound intravenous medications with precision under pharmacist supervision, ensuring appropriate dosing and authorization. Verify physician orders, patient information, and medication integrity while maintaining detailed records including logs, temperature controls, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation. Uphold cleanliness and compliance standards for compounding areas, including routine hood cleaning and proper disposal of materials. Manage pharmacy inventory effectively including receiving, shelving, labeling, billing processes, and accurate data entry to maintain medication availability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to five years of pharmacy experience, including IV compounding skills. IV certification is strongly preferred. Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required. National Certification is preferred.

Schedule and Location:

Full-time, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Located in Panama City, FL. This 13-week contract-to-hire position offers an excellent opportunity to engage in specialized pharmacy practice within an infusion center. Candidates with chemotherapy compounding experience will be highly considered.
