We are expanding our operations with the launch of a non-sterile compounding and retail pharmacy and are actively seeking a Lead Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Position Summary:
SportPharm™ is seeking a highly skilled non-sterile Compounding Technician to support the launch and operations of our non-sterile compounding pharmacy. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this individual will be responsible for preparing high-quality non-sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP , and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Compound non-sterile dosage forms, including creams, gels, capsules, suspensions, suppositories, troches, nasal sprays, lollipops, sublinguals, and hair foams. Perform calculations, accurate weighing, measuring, and mixing per master formulation protocols. Operate and maintain compounding equipment (e.g., unguators, ointment mills, pH meters, balances). Maintain thorough compounding logs, batch records, and documentation in accordance with pharmacy policy. Follow aseptic technique and cleanroom protocols Label and package all compounded products per regulatory standards and internal SOPs. Ensure adherence to USP / and relevant quality control procedures. Report any deviations or quality concerns promptly to supervising pharmacist. Train and mentor junior staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in non-sterile compounding is required
  • Sterile compounding experience preferred; additional compensation available for dual competency.

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in compounding is a plus
  • Must hold an active and in-good-standing Florida Pharmacy Technician License
  • Demonstrated knowledge of USP and USP regulations and compliance standards
  • Proficient in pharmaceutical calculations and maintaining accurate compounding records
  • Ability to follow and uphold SOPs, quality control measures, and safety protocols
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Must have flexibility in scheduling and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Sterile compounding certification (or equivalent practical knowledge).
