Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to assist in processing and dispensing prescriptions. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations, provide excellent customer service, and help ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. This position carries significant responsibility, so strong attention to detail, dependability, and effective communication skills are essential. Comfort with computer systems is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome customers, respond to inquiries, and provide helpful service Receive prescriptions and verify their accuracy and authenticity Enter prescription data, process orders electronically, and ensure all information is complete and correct Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as insurance claim rejections Accurately select medications and measure proper dosages for prescription fulfillment Prepare medications by labeling, organizing, and maintaining proper stock levels Manage inventory, including sorting and restocking supplies Operate the point-of-sale system to complete customer transactions Perform administrative duties such as maintaining records and documentation Complete other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist Follow all regulatory, safety, and quality assurance standards Occasionally deliver medications to patients when requiredQualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred Dependable Familiarity with electronic or online prescription processing systems is a plus Understanding of medications, dosage calculations, and measurement techniques Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and medical terminology Strong communication and customer service abilities Excellent organizational and multitasking skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Completion of a pharmacy technician training program requiredPay:
