Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract A healthcare facility specializing in oncology infusion services is seeking a certified IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician for a contract position at their Canton, GA location. This role supports the administration of chemotherapy and hematology treatments within an outpatient oncology infusion center.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer chemotherapy and other infusion treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols. Utilize IV start skills and access implanted ports to facilitate treatment delivery. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and accurate medication administration. Maintain stringent aseptic techniques and compliance with safety standards. Monitor inventory and assist in managing chemotherapy medications and supplies.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy technician roles. Certification in chemotherapy administration is required. IV certification essential, including proficiency in IV starts and implanted port access. Must hold a valid Georgia pharmacy technician license. Experience working in an outpatient oncology infusion center preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates residing within 50 miles of Canton, GA are not eligible for this opportunity. Availability for the 13-week contract duration beginning April 27.
