Assists pharmacy department with variety of vital functions including maintaining automation, performing quality improvement/data collection, evaluation/maintenance of clean room/compounding areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards and processing of medication orders and or medication requests from a pharmacist. This position provides organizational and technical support to ensure proper preparation of pharmaceuticals and compliance with established protocol and guidelines for pharmacy operations. This role primarily functions as a Medication Reconciliation Technician in the Emergency Department by obtaining and verifying accurate medication histories, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with healthcare providers to promote safe and effective patient care. Current registration as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) by PTCB or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Strong written and verbal skills required. Three (3) years of hospital experience preferred. Sterile compounding, USP 797, and USP 800 knowledge preferred
