Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support an outpatient oncology infusion center specializing in chemotherapy and hematology treatments. This contract role will focus on delivering safe and effective pharmacy support within a specialized infusion setting.
Location:
Based near Decatur, GA (note: candidates must be located outside a 50-mile radius)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30
PM Duration:
13-week engagement starting March 23
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer chemotherapy medications and other treatments related to hematology care in an outpatient infusion center Perform IV starts and access implanted ports with proficiency and care Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate medication delivery and patient safety Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and facility protocols
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of oncology/infusion pharmacy technician experience Certified in chemotherapy preparation and administration Valid Georgia pharmacy technician license required Strong IV start skills and ability to access implanted ports Familiarity with outpatient oncology and hematology treatment protocols This role requires thorough expertise in infusion pharmacy services and a commitment to patient-focused care. Candidates must submit an updated resume, skills checklist, two pharmacy references, GA license, PTCB certification if applicable, and note any planned PTO at the time of application.
