Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed to support sterile compounding operations at a healthcare facility in the Lawrenceville, GA area. This direct hire role offers a standard weekday schedule with occasional Saturdays, providing a balanced workweek.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering strictly to USP 797 standards Maintain quality assurance processes in compliance with departmental protocols and legal requirements Complete sterile compounding practical certification every six months to meet USP 797 guidelines Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance of sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls per USP 797 standards Assist in training new pharmacy technician staff as needed Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care Carry out other pharmacy technician duties relevant to sterile compounding as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required National certification as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred Experience with the CareTend system is beneficial Proven ability in sterile compounding and adherence to USP 797 standards This position offers the opportunity to apply specialized pharmacy technician skills in IV/infusion compounding within a supportive environment committed to patient safety and quality.
