Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed immediately for a direct hire position in Marietta, GA. This role involves performing sterile compounding of medications in adherence to stringent quality and safety standards. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Saturdays required as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring compliance with USP 797 standards Maintain quality assurance and legal requirements throughout all compounding processes Complete sterile compounding practical certification every six months to remain compliant with USP 797 guidelines Clean and maintain sterile compounding areas and primary engineering controls daily per regulatory standards Assist in training new employees on sterile compounding procedures and protocol Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at improving patient care Carry out additional pharmacy technician duties as assigned
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician License required National Pharmacy Technician Certification highly preferred Experience with sterile compounding and infusion pharmacy settings Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance and patient safety
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturdays as needed This role is a direct hire opportunity with immediate start availability.
