GED Registered Pharmacy Technician Full Job Description Work Shift:
Night - 8 Hour (United States of America)10:00pm - 6:30am (40 Weekly Hours) The pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the preparation of medications and IV fluids and delivery of products to various hospital departments. In the nursing areas, the pharmacy technician will interview patients for medication histories. The technician works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience:
None.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current Certified Pharmacy Technician by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Registered Pharmacy Tech with the State of Georgia as verified by the Georgia Secretary of State's professional licensing board.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of standard office equipment to include computer, printers, labeling machine, fax machine, copier. Also utilizes IV Flow Hood.
