POSITION OVERVIEW

The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in overall day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.

SCHEDULE AND PAY

This is a full-time (40 hour) position.

Clinic Open:

Monday

• Thursday 8AM
• 7PM, Friday 8AM
• 5PM, and Saturday 8AM
• 12PM. Scheduling needs will be discussed during interview. Pay offer is based on education, certification and experience, and the hourly range is $18
• $21 with additional pay for bilingual capabilities.

DUTIES Assists in preparing prescriptions accurately and answering patient questions. Records medical information using the pharmacy's management software Measures, counts, and mixes medication for prescriptions Verifies insurance information, and addresses conflicts with patients or insurance billing companies Answers the phone, takes messages and prescription refill information Maintains and assists with inventory levels. Receives, labels and stocks prescription drugs and prescription supplies Assists patients in the enrollment and re-enrollment of pharmaceutical assistance programs Assists with maintaining pharmacy compliance. Cleans and maintains the pharmacy area Completes refrigerator temperature report log

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Iowa Pharmacy Technician Registration or Trainee Registration Certification required Bilingual (Spanish) desired Basic Life Support/CPR Certification required, training will be provided High school diploma or GED required.
