Job Purpose:
The Pharmacy Technician II at Crescent Community Health Center is responsible for supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to the community.Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking medications and supplies. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper medication management and patient care. Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and processing insurance claims. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent certification preferred.Required Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare setting. Experience working in a community health center or similar environment is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience with pharmacy software systems and inventory management.Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication management. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members. Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology for prescription processing and inventory control. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
