Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assists in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including preparation and distribution of medications to patients and patient care areas. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
Shift:
Days What you will do: Assists Pharmacist in prescription order preparation/delivery.
  • Receives and transcribes new orders and refill authorizations (not applicable to I/P Tech).
  • Uses medication orders to identify, locate and pull appropriate quantity of medication needed.
  • Prepares medication for dispensing.
  • Packages medication order for delivery.
  • Accurately requests refill authorizations from prescribers (or not applicable to I/P Tech).
  • Delivers prescription orders to patients or patient care area under the direction of the
Pharmacist Qualifications:
​​High school diploma or GED M inimum of 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire.
