Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and pharmacy operations, particularly in a hospital or acute care setting. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking pharmaceuticals. Process prescriptions and verify patient information for accuracy. Provide patient care by answering questions regarding medication usage and side effects. Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals. Document medication administration and maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requirements Pharmacy Technician License in Idaho is required. Experience in a hospital or acute care environment is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy operations. Familiarity with critical care protocols and medication administration procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare staff. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and safety standards. Ability to handle inhalation medications and other specialized pharmaceuticals.
