As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you'll be part of an exciting new frontier in pharmacy. Our current shifts are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will provide exceptional care to patients who rely on high-touch medications. In this role, you'll be responsible for filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and working with insurance companies to ensure patients have timely access to their medications — all while making a direct and meaningful impact on their lives. Position Summary:
As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Responsibilities:
May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department Receives and stores incoming supplies Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records Communicates effectively with customers Performs a variety of tasks Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Typically reports to supervisor or manager Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy required. CPhT required. One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data-based software programs BLS required Working Conditions:
