Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Manager About Customedica Pharmacy With two convenient locations in Boise and Eagle, Idaho, Customedica Pharmacy is a locally owned pharmacy dedicated to serving the diverse healthcare needs of the Treasure Valley. We are proud to offer the best of both worlds: comprehensive conventional community retail pharmacy services and a specialized compounding laboratory. Job Summary We are currently expanding our team and have multiple openings for licensed Pharmacy Technicians! While pharmacy experience is preferred, we are willing to train the appropriate candidate. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional, compassionate customer service to all patients in person and over the phone. Assist pharmacists in the daily operation of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and managing outdated medications. Efficiently manage data entry for new prescriptions and refills in the pharmacy management system. Process insurance claims, troubleshoot third-party rejections, and handle prior authorizations. Fill, label, and dispense conventional medications accurately and efficiently. Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle patient transactions at the pickup counter or prepare for delivery. Organize and maintain the traditional pharmacy stock and dispensing areas.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure:
Active Idaho pharmacy technician license is preferred; however, for exceptional candidates we will assist with obtaining an Idaho pharmacy technician registration.
Experience:
2+ years of experience with in-person customer support in a high-volume retail environment is required. Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication, strong organizational habits, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software and basic computer operations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours per shift). Dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small instruments and counting pills. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
