Job Description:
Location:
Bolingbrook or Glendale Heights Maintains proficiency in all Tech IV functions and provides coverage in any core or advanced pharmacy practice areas as needed to address staff shortages, support program and service performance, and assure achievement of strategic goals across patient care areas serviced by the pharmacy team. Other duties as assigned. Executes expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across all core and advanced workflows. Serves as the recognized subject matter expert in a designated specialty area, such as ADC systems, cleanroom/compounding, diversion prevention, informatics, investigational drugs, or medication history, based on organizational need and individual expertise. Resolves complex issues and provides technical support related to the specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, problem‐solving, and customer service skills Required
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes as necessary Required
  • Ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, and external customers Required
  • Ability to follow direction from formal management personnel and work well under direct supervision of a pharmacist Required
  • Ability to identify, follow up, and resolve discrepancies
Required Education:
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
  • Associate's [Preferred]
  • Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
Field of Study:
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program [Preferred]
Work Experience:
  • 3+ years contemporary hospital pharmacy experience with noted experience in targeted specialty pharmacy practice.
