Job Title:
Pharmacy Technician Job Description As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will be responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. Responsibilities Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure. Prepack frequently ordered medications and label and store them as needed during low volume times. Manually package materials and products. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas and prepack racks. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks. Alert the pharmacist on duty if any medication or product is not scanning properly. Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Pharmacy technician license. Fulfillment experience. Data entry proficiency. National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification. Illinois Pharmacy Technician License. High School Diploma or GED. Strong computer and data entry skills. Minimum of 1-year pharmacy technician experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work at moderate speed and handle high volume orders. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burr Ridge, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
