Schedule:
This lead position position will primarily work weekdays with flexibility needed to cover evenings, nights, and weekends based on patient and operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Pharmacist, supervises the outpatient retail pharmacy Enters orders into prescription processing system under outpatient pharmacist supervision Fills and labels medication orders under the supervision of an outpatient pharmacist. Ring out medications to people picking them up. Receive prescriptions from people dropping them off. Process Health works charges to hospital prescription system Maintains pharmacy records, file prescriptions in order at the end of each day. Participates in Inventory Control and ordering process. As part of inventory control regular monitoring of prescription bottle expiration dates is expected. Participates with the pharmacist and Coordinator - Product Support in monitoring and maintaining drug inventories and preparing orders for drugs and related supplies. Check prescription bins for prescriptions filled more than 14 days prior to date check, reverse them, and restock medication to shelf Understand/utilize 340B Drug Purchasing Program. Troubleshoot prescription insurance inquiries to resolve disputes.
Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) credential required 1+ year(s) of inpatient experience High School diploma or equivalent
