Pharmacy Technician Itasca, IL | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity A leading pharmacy organization is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support both home infusion services and general pharmacy operations. This six-month contract assignment offers the potential for permanent hire and provides an excellent opportunity to work in a diverse and team-oriented environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician will play an important role in supporting daily pharmacy activities, ensuring accurate prescription processing, maintaining inventory, and assisting in various operational areas, including home infusion and warehouse functions. Candidates should be adaptable, dependable, and comfortable working in multiple departments as business needs require. Primary Responsibilities Assist with prescription preparation and fulfillment activities Support home infusion pharmacy operations and related services Perform Pharmacy Related Services (PRS) responsibilities as assigned Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock replenishment Support warehouse operations, including receiving and organizing supplies Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures Partner with pharmacists and team members to deliver efficient patient-focused service Qualifications Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required Current PTCB certification required Two or more years of pharmacy experience preferred Previous experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or high-volume pharmacy settings is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs Why Apply?
