Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients
• Prepare and package medications for distribution
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
• Enter prescription information into the computer system accurately
• Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
• Familiarity with aseptic technique in a pharmacy setting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

• Proficiency in pharmacy operations and procedures
• Experience in acute care or critical care settings is a plus
• Knowledge of inhale medication administration techniques is desirable
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations is an asset
