Job Description

You will be working side by side a professional pharmacist and other experienced pharmacy technicians. You will assist in all aspects of pharmacy operations. This is a full time professional position offering full time benefits which include vacation, insurance, and a retirement plan. If you meet certain accomplishments and with experience, you could become a "lead technician".
Responsibilities:
Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacist in many of the activities involved in serving patients' pharmacy needs. The main roll of the pharmacy technician is in processing prescriptions. Pharmacy Technicians greet patients and accept their prescriptions. Technicians input prescription information into the pharmacy computer and process patients' insurances. The pharmacy technician fills the prescription and prepares it to be dispensed to the patient. This could also include prescriptions prepared by robotic filling. The pharmacy technician's job description also includes many other duties such as administrative and bookkeeping tasks, inventory control, stocking shelves, and data entry. Pharmacy technicians are detail oriented. They work well in fast-paced conditions, and they have strong customer service skills. Through on-site training and some self-study, pharmacy technicians will become certified and earn the licensed title of Certified Pharmacy Technician. Pay is determined by experience and certification.
