Description:
Under pharmacist supervision, supports the pharmacy department as we expand our clinical technician support for medication access in infusion centers across the Indianapolis metro region. Assists with functions required for medication processing including working with patients, clinic staff, providers, pharmacists, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of prior authorizations. This opportunity will allow technicians expand their skill-set in a clinical way to support medication access.- High School Diploma/GED is required
- Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
- Requires working knowledge and skills as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires effective customer service skills.
- Requires intermediate proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
- Requires Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training OR Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
- Pharmacy Technician National Certification required within 1 year of hire unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy or graduated from an
ASHP/ACPE
