Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description This role offers an opportunity for a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support prescription fulfillment in a pharmacy setting located in Kansas City, Kansas. You will work closely with an on-site pharmacist and a small team of technicians to ensure safe, accurate, and timely preparation of medications for patients in a healthcare environment. Responsibilities + Support the pharmacist in the accurate fulfillment of prescriptions, following all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal procedures. + Prepare, label, and organize medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. + Verify prescription information and patient details to help ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing. + Maintain proper inventory levels by receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and supplies. + Assist in maintaining accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and other required documentation. + Follow established workflows and standard operating procedures to support efficient pharmacy operations. + Help maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant pharmacy workspace. + Collaborate with the pharmacist and other technicians to support high-quality patient care and service. Essential Skills + Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Kansas. + Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. + Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription fulfillment and medication handling. + Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures accurately. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety. + Effective communication skills to work closely with the pharmacist and fellow technicians. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PharmD or pharmacy-related education is beneficial. + Prior experience as a fulfillment pharmacy technician is an advantage. + Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and best practices in Kansas. + Comfort working as part of a small, collaborative team. Work Environment This position is based in a pharmacy located in Kansas City, Kansas. The team typically consists of one on-site pharmacist working with one to two Pharmacy Technicians.
