Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented IV Pharmacy Technician to join our closed-door long-term care pharmacy team. In this role, you will provide essential support by preparing sterile injectable medications, such as IV bags and chemotherapy drugs, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Schedule:
Flexible days/evenings & rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and compound sterile injectable medications Follow strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols to prevent contamination. Accurately label all preparations and maintain detailed records, including refrigerator temperature logs and hood cleaning documentation. Monitor stock levels, receive and store medications, and ensure inventory is organized and maintained.
MUST HAVE
Valid CPhT Kansas license in good standing. Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care, is a plus. Previous IV experience is strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
