Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, where you will play a vital role in managing prescription processes and supporting patient care. While a pharmacy technician license is a bonus, it is not required for this position. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with three years of relevant work experience or an associate's degree in a related field with one year of relevant experience. Responsibilities Submit prior authorizations for prescriptions or specialty medications. Complete medication assistance or grant funding applications for patients. Contact insurance companies for status updates. Pull chart notes from EPIC. Essential Skills Proficient in data entry. Experience with prior authorization processes. At least one year of experience in insurance billing, revenue cycle, and prior authorizations. Familiarity with EPIC is a significant advantage. Additional Skills & Qualifications Pharmacy technician license preferred, but not required. High school diploma with three years of relevant work experience or an associate's degree in a related field with one year of relevant experience. Work Environment The position requires working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Initial three months of training will be onsite, with potential for a hybrid work arrangement thereafter. There are no floating, weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements, as the facility is closed on all observed holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
