Work Location Lexington, KY Grade Level 09 Salary Range $21.00-34.29/hour Type of Position Staff Position Time Status Full-Time Required Education AS Click here for more information about equivalencies: https://hr.uky.edu/employment/working-uk/equivalencies Required Related Experience 2 yrs Required License/Registration/Certification Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB ( PTCE ) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Shift Day shift; Monday-Friday with some weekend requirements. Job Summary Assist pharmacist(s) in obtaining prior to admission medication histories; assess patient risk factors for adherence to prescribed regimens; review/enter patient allergies and triage medication-related problems identified via communication with pharmacists, other providers, or patients. Assist in the training of staff and development of procedures. Use of multiple computer devices and programs for adequate documentation are required.

/ Abilities This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
