Full Job Description Responsibilities:
The role of the Pharmacy Technician Inpatient is to support and assist the Pharmacist in the medication use process. This employee assists in providing safe and efficient medication management/patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric) physicians, employees, and the public. This position requires taking responsibility within appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution duties. The pharmacy technician functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients. Responsibilities may include IV admixture, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.Qualifications:
Required:
One year in a pharmacy or completion of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician program Pharmacy Technician (State) Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential within 30 days of employment if no prior technician experience. Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential at hire if prior experience as technician.AND One of:
CPHT or Pharmacy Intern Certified Pharmacy Technician (National) (CPHT ) credential obtained within 120 days of hire.Desired:
