Job Description

Overview Distinctive Home & Health Care is a leading provider of healthcare to serve military installations across the United States. Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and support for each one of our clients. Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a full time Pharmacy Tech at USP McCreary. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards. Assist pharmacists in managing medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage procedures. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescription details and updating electronic health records efficiently. Administer medications via IV infusion, following strict aseptic techniques to maintain sterility and prevent contamination. Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on medication use. Maintain detailed documentation of medication dispensing, compounding procedures, and clinical interventions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to support medication administration and patient care plans. Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards and hospital protocols for safe medication handling. Skills 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician with expertise in LTC pharmacy or hospital environments. Critical care experience is highly desirable, demonstrating ability to handle complex medication regimens. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and IV infusion procedures. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools. Knowledge of medication administration protocols, including safety checks and documentation standards.
