  • Lexington, Kentucky Contract | Day Shift An opportunity is available for a Lead IV Pharmacy Technician with strong recent compounding skills and clean room experience in a closed-door long-term care (LTC) facility.
This role focuses on preparing sterile intravenous (IV) medications while leading activities within the compounding room.
Location:
Lexington, Kentucky Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM Rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee operations in the compounding room Prepare intravenous (IV) medications utilizing aseptic techniques to maintain sterility Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels Maintain compliance with USP 797 standards and all relevant regulations Cross-train in the narcotics department to support broader pharmacy functions
Qualifications:
Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license Recent hands-on experience with sterile compounding (minimum of 2 years preferred) Lead tech experience is helpful but not required Familiarity or willingness to learn Frameworks software Strong work ethic and committed attendance—punctuality and reliability are critical for this role PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory This role offers a direct hire opportunity in a high-volume environment handling approximately 600 prescriptions daily.
