Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Soileau's Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient daily pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations. Duties Assist the pharmacist and other technicians with prescription preparation, including counting, labeling, and packaging medications. Receive and process prescription orders electronically, by phone, or in person. Enter prescription information accurately into the Pioneer software system. Provide courteous customer service by answering questions, assisting patients at the counter, and directing clinical questions to the pharmacist. Manage insurance claims, prior authorizations, and resolve billing issues when possible. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering medications, checking in shipments, and monitoring stock levels and expiration dates. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace. Assist with medication synchronization, refill reminders, and patient outreach programs. Perform other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
